Brett Bennett capped off another outstanding season for UCSB, his third, with his selection to the Second Team All-Big West Conference...Competed in all 10 tournaments for the Gauchos...Bennett's per-round stroke average of 72.70 ranked second on the team...Finished 5th at the Vista Stockton Pacific Invitational shooting 8-under par...Bennett finished the season with a record of 527-258-5
Bennett was selected First Team All-Big West Conference in his second season at UCSB...Bennett competed in 10 of the team's 11 tournaments and paced the team in average shots per round at 72.77...He shot 11 rounds of golf either at or under par...Played a total of 30 matches...Finished in fourth-place at Sacramento State Invitational...Bennett shot a 30-under par in the final round to finish at 5 over-par, tying for seventh-place in the Redhawk Invitational...He also placed sixth in the Big West Conference Championship finishing under par and carded a 3-under 213...Bennett finished the season with a record of 598-195-20.
Bennett had a standout first season at UCSB and was named Big West Freshman of the Year...Was also a Second Team All-Big West selection...Did not see action in any of the team's fall tournaments but played in all nine of the spring tournaments...Including two round in a dual match against Yale, Bennett played 29 rounds for the Gauchos and averaged 72.31 strokes...Recorded three top-10 finishes...His season-best finish was when he tied with teammate Zach Smith for third-place at the PRO Compression Invitational with a 6-under par 210...During that same tournament, he equaled his second lowest round of the year with a 4-under 68 in the first round...Placed in a tie for seventh at the Folino Invitational when he shot a 4-over 220...Also had a top-10 finish when he tied for 10th at the Cal Poly Shootout, carding a 3-under 213...Had his best round of the year at Cal Poly when he shot a 5-under 67 in the second round...Along with Nick Swanson, Bennett was the team's top finisher at the NCAA Stanford Regional where he shot a 1-under par 215, tying for 33rd...In all, 13 of his 29 rounds were under par, four others were at par and and four were in the 60s...Finished with a record of 340-174-17.
