Vitug qualified for the California State Meet in 2006 and 2007, competing in the 800m...Was CIF-SDS champion in the 800m in 2006 and 2007...Was All-Eastern League all four seasons and was female athlete of the year (track) in 2007...Was all-section all four years...Eastern League champion in the 800m from 2005-2007...In 2006 she took fifth place at the Arcadia Invitational with an 800m time of 2:15.08...Also competed at the State Meet as a member of her team's 4x400m relay squad in 2005 and 2007...Was on honor roll all four years and graduated with Academic Distinction (top 7% of graduating class).

Personal
Her hobbies include yoga, ballroom dancing, and rock climbing...Favorite music includes hip-hop, oldies, and slow jams...Favorite movies are Little Rascals, The Shawshank Redemption, and Miss Congeniality...Can best be described as driven and dedicated, and also loud and spontaneous...Her brother Steven is her inspiration, as he pursues his dream of becoming a professional boxer.
