SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UC Santa Barbara men's and women's head water polo coach Wolf Wigo will provide color commentary for NBC and Universal Sports' coverage of the 2009 FINA World League Super Final this week and the FINA World Championships at the end of July. Wigo, a three-time Olympian, has previously served as a color commentator during NBC's coverage of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing last summer.

Universal Sports' coverage of the FINA Water Polo World League Super Final in Montenegro will begin this Friday and run through Sunday.

Along with Jim Watson calling play-by-play, Wigo will commentate on five total games this weekend, including Team USA's game against Serbia on Friday, June 19, and the bronze and gold medal games on Sunday.

Former UCSB player, Brian Alexander (2001-04) will be competing with Team USA at the tournament.

The 13th edition of the FINA World Championships kicks off in Rome on July 17. The 17-day tournament, which ends on Aug. 2, will feature five major water sports - swimming, open-water swimming, diving, water polo and synchronized swimming.

Coverage of the FINA World Championships will be broadcast on Universal and NBC on July 26, 28, 30 and Aug. 1. Wigo and Watson will again team up for coverage of the championships.
