Juniors Ruth Milne and Shelby Haroldson were named 2012 All-Big West Conference selections it was announced by the league’s office today. Milne garnered First Team honors while Haroldson was named to the Second Team.

The Gauchos will head up to Northern California when they play their last two games of the regular season this weekend. UCSB’s first game will be played against No. 11 UC Davis at UC Davis on Saturday. They will travel to Pacific the following day concluding the regular season.
It was a beautiful day in Santa Barbara when Gaucho seniors Katie Zakula and Elle Quane played their last two games as Gauchos at Campus Pool. In the first game of the day at 11:30 am, UCSB cranked out a win against Cal State Northridge, 5-3. Later that afternoon, they faced Cal Baptist and accumulated another win, 9-7.

The No. 15 Gauchos (10-9) were back in action at the UCI Invitational on a beautiful Sunday in Irvine, Calif. when they beat No. 8 San Jose State (8-7), 9-8, and suffered a tough loss against No. 7 UC Irvine (14-3), 11-5.
No. 16 UCSB (8-7) was back in action on Sunday as it wrapped up the UCSD Triton Invitational. The Gauchos faced No. 9 Indiana (7-3) for the second time this season and suffered a tough loss, 7-5. UCSB bounced back later in the afternoon when it also faced No. 19 Cal State Northridge (3-8) for the second time this season, and once again accumulated the win, 10-8.
No. 17 UC Santa Barbara split its two games on the second and final day of the UCSB Winter Invite, which was held at Campus Pool. The Gauchos (7-4) dominated Cal State Bakersfield (1-3), 11-4, before suffering a tough overtime loss to No. 9 Indiana (5-2), 8-6.
