Selix competed in the steeplechase at the Big West Championships and finished eighth with a time of 11:13.55, just off her personal best...She ran her personal best at the dual meet against Cal Poly, where she finished second with a time of 11:12.47 to move up to ninth on the UCSB all-time list...A month earlier she won the steeplechase at the Cal Poly Invitational with a time of 11:21.38.

High School
Was a member of the Esperanza squad that took second in the State Meet in 2007...Was All-Sunset League in 2007...Also named to the All-State third team in 2007...Named to the All-Orange County team in 2008...In a single year, she managed to cut 2:12 from her two-mile time, 55 seconds from her mile time, and 22 seconds from her 800m time...Is on the top ten lists at Esperanza in the 800m (fifth, 2:14.67), 1600m (sixth, 5:03), and 3200m (fourth, 11:04).

Personal
Majoring in biology and hopes to practice sports medicine...Enjoys surfing, listening to music, and good food.
