Kayla Petitt
| Year: | RS Senior |
| Hometown: | Seattle, Wash. |
| High School: | Mt. Rainier H.S. |
| Position: | Jumps |
Kayla's presence on the Gaucho squad is nothing short of miraculous. After
having suffered through a botched 2005 spinal cord surgery which left her
paralyzed, Kayla has defied all odds and is not only walking again, but is
also running and high jumping! Quite possibly the toughest athlete in track
and field today, Kayla has pushed herself into competition shape through
pure will and voracious determination. Though simply beholding the sight of
her strapping on the Gaucho uniform will be a shining moment for the entire
team, Kayla is not easily satisfied, and will most definitely be clearing
heights and scoring points in her final season as a Gaucho.
