Since her standout performance at the 2005 Big West Conference Championships, during which she tossed around the UCSB triple jump record with former teammate, Chelsea Haverty, Coelho has suffered a nagging foot injury that has prevented her from showing off her amazing athleticism. Known as the "rabbit," Ashley, in the best shape of her life, looks to hop her way back to that school record in both the triple jump and the long jump, and she will also play a key role in the Gauchos' relay squads.
2005 Track & Field Recap: Coelho had a great finish to her season when she set a personal best and 2nd best mark in school history in the triple jump at the Big West Championships. She finished 7th with a jump of 39'03".

2004 Track & Field Recap: Coelho posted the top long jump mark for UCSB (18' 00.5") and the third best triple jump in Gaucho history (38' 00.75")...finished 10th in triple jump at the Big West Championship...ran a personal best 65.52 in the 400mH.

High School Notes: Ashley qualified for the 2003 CA HS State Meet in the long jump. She was the runner-up in the long jump, triple jump and 300h at the 2003 CIF SS D4 Finals and was also the 2003 Los Padres League Champion in the same 3 events. Ashley won the 300h at the 2003 Russell Cup and finished second in the long jump at the 2003 Santa Barbara Easter Relays.
