Carey Advances at NCAA West Regionals

AUSTIN, Texas – Jenn Carey's season will continue as she finished third in her heat with a time of 52.72 in the 400 meter dash in the NCAA West Regionals at the University of Texas, Austin.

She was seventh overall and improved on her 53.17 time in the prelims. 

For the men, Sean Johnson made his meet debut in the 110m hurdles and finished with a time of 14.71. He finished seventh in his heat and will not be advancing to the finals. The junior previously set his career-high at this year's Big West Championships when we clocked in at 14.28.

Amanda Rodriguez could not break the one-minute mark and finished sixth in her heat with a finishing mark of 1:00.44. In the preliminary round, the senior ran a 58.58.

Irene Kujore competed in the discus throw, her second event of the meet. Her best throw hit the 47.98 mark. She finished 5th in her flight.
