Big West Conference Champion

Strenkowski significantly improved in every event during the 2011 season...Placed second in the 5k event at Conference, running 19:48.87...Won the 10k event at the Big West Conference Championships...Qualified to compete in the NCAA West preliminaries where she improved her 10k time at the NCAA to 34:29.79...Ran a new personal record time of 4:34.38 in the 1,500m at the Cal Poly Invite where she placed sixth. 

Competed in the 1,500m, 3k, 5k and 10k distances...Ran a season best time of 4:45.13 in the 1,500m at the Gaucho Round-Up...Finished second at the Big West Challenge in the 3k with a personal best time of 9:56.53...Placed third at the Big West Conference Championships in the 5k with her time of 17:01.37 and earning major points for the women's team...Placed ninth out of 31 runners at the Stanford Invite, running 34:50.28.

Competed in the Tri Valley league at Oak Park High School...Ran a personal best time of 5:14 in the 1600m...Her personal best in he 5k was 18:42...Ran PR of 11:11 in the 2 mile event.

Daughter of Phil and Alina Strenkowski...has one sister Jacqueline...Majoring in Cell and Development Biology...Chose UCSB because of head coach Pete Dolan and how his runners improved significantly from high school...Enjoys roller-blading, paddleboarding, cooking and baking when she has free time...Many people do not know that she is a first generation American...Favorite movies include Clueless, Wedding Crasher and Old School...Favorite band is Incubus...Atlas Shrugged is her favorite novel and her favorite athlete is fellow UCSB runner Courtney Lightfoot.
