Day two of the UCSB Classic offered frustrating results for the Gauchos; as they failed to advance in any main draw matches or first consolation matches.

In flight "A" Jill Damion was forced to the sideline with a groin injury, but her replacement Natalia Lozano picked up the slack defeating Florence Lehane of Cal Poly in a consolation match.

"The emphasis of this tournament for us is to get out and play," said women's tennis head coach Pete Kirkwood. "We are going through everything for the first time while many of the other schools have already played in tournaments this fall."

Meagan Price and Callie Craig of BYU won the "A" flight doubles championship defeating Ali Waters and Khunpak Issara of Pepperdine 8-5 in the final.

The third and final day of the UCSB Classic begins Sunday at 8 a.m. and will be played simultaneously on UCSB's Robertson Gymnasium Courts, Recreation Center Courts and Harder Stadium Courts.
