DAVIS, Calif. - UC Santa Barabara improved to 7-6 when it posted a 5-2 victory over host UC Davis in women's tennis action Saturday at the Marya Welch Tennis Center in Davis, Calif. The Gauchos swept through doubles play before winning four out of six singles matches. The loss drops the Aggies to 9-9 on the year.
In doubles, Carina Bjornstrom and Asagi Onaga were the first to finish their match with an 8-6 victory over Robin Guier and Stone at No. 2. The point was clinched when Tova Hausman and Brittany Kausen picked up a win at No. 3 over Anita Athavale and Emma Shapiro.
In singles, Bjornstrom, Onaga, Hausman and Kausen all picked up straight sets victories to help clinch the overall victory for UCSB.
UCSB will play at Pacific on Sunday, April 1, in a match at that will begin at 10:00 a.m. No fooling.
