2009-10: Damion ended the season with a dual record of 6-3 and played most of her singles matches in the No. 3 and No. 4 spots... She went 2-1 in the No. 3 spot and 4-1 in the No. 4 spot... Damion also secured a dominant 4-1 record in her doubles matches. 2008-09: Jill Damion earned Second Team All-Big West honors in singles and doubles...Played primarily No. 2 singles, but did make one appearance at No. 1...Recorded an 11-10 dual match mark and teamed with Natalia Lozano to go 10-4 while splitting time between No. 1 and No. 2 doubles...2007-2008: Damion competed at the No. 2 spot as a freshman posting a 12-14 record overall... She earned Second Team All-Big West honors for singles competition.
Damion played for Brian Richer at Corona Del Mar High School...In her senior year, she led her Corona Del Mar team to a CIF State Championship and a perfect 18-0 team record...Made it to the semifinals of the CIF in individuals and doubles...Earned team MVP...Ranked in the top 20 in the under 18s in Southern California Section and ranked in the top 100 in under 18s nationally...Personal coach is Bret Hansen-Dent.
Damion is the daughter of Pat and Richard... Her older sister Leslie was a member of the women's tennis team at UC Santa Barbara and her younger brother Chris plays tennis competitively as well...Member of California Scholastic Federation for four semesters...Most memorable sports moment was winning the third set against Cal Poly to win the match at the Big West Tournament... Enjoys music, concerts, baking and collecting guitar picks... Favorite novels include "A Separate Peace" in addition to the "Harry Potter" series... Favorite movie is "Cruel Intentions"... Janet Evanovich and Harlen Coben are her favorite authors... Roots for the Anaheim Angels...
