SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- The UC Santa Barbara Gauchos will be sending three representatives to Northridge, Calif. this weekend to participate in the 2015 Matador Collegiate Invitational hosted by Cal State Northridge.

The three Gauchos that'll be battling for the championship are red shirt Freshman Sharona Levinson, Junior Kyla Jarrar, and Freshman Taylor Klein.

Levinson and Klein will be seeing their first tournament action of the season, and Jarrar will be looking to avenge her second round loss at the ITA Southwest Regional Tournament last weekend.

Jarrar will be participating in the B bracket and will be facing off in the first round against Emily Borkowski of Cal State Fullerton. The Fullerton redshirt Sophomore had an overall 8-19 singles record last season and played in four different positions for the Titans during the dual match season.

In the C bracket, Klein will be facing Scout Shutter of host Cal State Northridge. The Junior from Northridge did not play any matches in her Sophomore year, but recorded a 5-4 singles record during her Freshman campaign.

Levinson will also be participating in the C bracket, taking on Elif Gabb of South Dakota State in the first round. The South Dakotan Sophomore went 16-5 in singles during her freshman year.

Jarrar and Levinson will team up to represent the Gauchos in the doubles B bracket. Their first round opponents will be Lidia Dukic and Stanzi Stuijt from the University of Montana. The two Grizzly players have yet to play together in a tournament this season.

All first round matches will take place Friday morning.
