HONOLULU, Hawai'i - The Gauchos swept the 50 free and the 200 breast, in addition had three individual and one relay wins, but could not make up the points lost to Hawai'i in the diving events and bring home the final win of the last event of the dual meet against Hawai'i at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.

UCSB lost the last event of the two day meet, the 200 free relay, to Hawai'i by one-tenth of a second. The University of Hawaii's A relay team swam a time of 1:35.46 and Gaucho swimmers May, Lathers, Yamamoto and Dwidar came in at 1:35.56.

Senior Jen Schwalb finished the weekend strong with two wins in the 100 and 200 fly, 56.15 and 2:01.45, respectively. Freeman won the 100 and 200 breast, 1:05.50 and 2:22.5, respectively. The Gauchos swept the 200 breast event with Dickinson, 2:24.43, in second and Jenkins finished third, 2:27.16. Lathers, May and Dwidar swept the 50 free with times of 24.10, 24.17 and 24.15, respectively.

The Gauchos return home to Campus Pool to host UC Davis on Saturday November 4, 2006 at 10am.
