Schwalb, May Complete First Day at 2007 NCAA Women's Swimming Championships

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - UC Santa Barbara's Jennifer Schwalb and Anne Marie May were in action on day one of the 2007 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championship on Thursday n Minneapolis, Minn.

Schwalb, a senior, placed 48th out of a field of 69 in the 200 individual medley. Her time was 2:02.42. May, a freshman, placed 21st out of 72 in the 50-yard freestyle, and her time of 22.70 was the second-best among freshmen all freshmen competing.

Schwalb will compete in two more events in the meet. On Friday, she will swim in the 100 butterfly and on Saturday she will go in the 200 fly. May will swim in the 100 freestyle on Saturday.
