UCSB Wraps Up Last Day of American Short Course Championship Meet

AUSTIN, Texas - The third and final day of the American Short Course Championship meet in at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center UCSB walked away with great swims and experience.
In the 400 Medley Relay the women placed sixth with, Jessica Cruzat, Katlin Freeman, Erin Yamamoto and Nadia Dwidar and clocked a time of 3:48.26. The men placed seventh in that same event which included Gaucho swimmers Bradley Matsumoto, Spencer Ramsey, Curtis Bauer, and Mason Edwards (3:29.62).
In the 200 back Jessica Cruzat placed 17th with a time of 2:02.96. Brock Roverud swam the 200 back for the men with a time of 1:53.32 placing him 27th. Two women swam the 100 free, Nadia Dwidar placed 14th, 51.79 and Erin Yamamoto placed 26th 52.13. For the men three swimmers swam the 100 free, Bradley Matsumoto (45.27) in 17th place, Curtis Bauer (46.78) in 26th place and Mason Edwards (47.48) in 42nd place.
The Gauchos will head home and will be ready to race again at the NCAA meet March 16-18, 2006 in Athens, Georgia for the women, and March 23-25 for the men.
