Tara graduated from Las Lomas High School… Swam under coaches Sue Miller and Mike Bynum… She was a finalist at NCS and NCS State in the 100 backstroke… DFAL League First Team… Team Captain (2016)… Four year scholar athlete… All-time Top 10 at LLHS in 100 backstroke, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 medley/freestyle relays, and 400 freestyle relay… Swam for the Walnut Creek Aquabears club team under Coaches Mike Heaney and Todd Krohn… WCAB All Time Top Ten in the 100 backstroke… Scholastic All-American (2015)… Junior Nationals Qualifier.

Tara Middleton was born on February 2, 1998… Is current Aquatic Biology with a minor in Education... “Sail” by Awolnation is her pre-race pump up song… Lists her favorite power snack as plantain chips… Began swimming at age six… Outside of the pool, Tara enjoys eating or going ot the beach… her favorite aspect of college swimming is spending 24/7 with her teammates… If she could add any event to each meet it would be the 150 IM (without breaststroke)… Tara golas for the season incldue winning the 100 backstroke at Conference Championships and qualifying for the Olympic Trials... Achieving her childhood goals of swimming for UCSB is her proudest achievement in her swimming career.
