UCSB's Bout with No. 16 Northwestern Cancelled

March 3, 2006

FULLERTON, Calif. - UC Santa Barbara's game with No. 16 Northwestern on the opening day of Cal State Fullerton's Worth Invitational was cancelled Friday after heavy rainfall all morning. The Gauchos and Wildcats were scheduled to square off at 1:30 p.m. on the main diamond at the Titan Softball Complex.

Mother Nature has forced the cancellation of a total of four games to this point and they will not be made up.

Santa Barbara has already lost three games this season due to inclement weather.

The Gauchos are slated to face No. 9 Oregon State later today at 6:00 p.m., weather permitting.
