Feb. 14, 2008

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara softball team's opening game of the Campbell/Cartier Classic against host San Diego State has been rescheduled due to wet field conditions. The game, which originally was scheduled to be played at 7 p.m. this evening, will now be played at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The Gauchos will open tournament action tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 15 against Utah State at 2 p.m. The match-up will be the first against the Aggies since they left the Big West Conference following the 2005 season. UCSB is also scheduled to play Indiana, Fresno State, and Tulsa this weekend.

UCSB opened the 2008 season at the Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament last weekend. The Gauchos went 1-3 with a win over Santa Clara and losses to Oklahoma, UCLA, and Nevada.
