For the First Time Ever, UCSB is Offering Baseball and Softball Season Tickets

Jan. 30, 2009

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara Athletics Department is pleased to offer, for the first time ever, the chance for fans to purchase season tickets for baseball and softball. Not only can Gaucho baseball and softball fans reserve their premium seat for the 2009 season, but every purchase comes with a baseball hat or softball visor, the same headgear UCSB's players wear on the field.

The baseball and softball teams are each primed for successful 2009 campaigns with the baseball team ranked No. 30 in two preseason polls and the softball team picked to finish third in the competitive Big West after its school-best, second-place finish last season.

Season tickets for the 28 baseball home games will be on the Field Level at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium, beneath the main bleachers on ground level. The seats directly behind home plate on the upper level are also available to be purchased as season tickets.

These seats will be available exclusively to season ticket holders at the price of $125 for adults, $75 for seniors, 55 and over and $50 for youths, 13 and under. For single-game admission, tickets for the reserved seats on the upper deck behind home plate are $8 for adults and seniors and $5 for youths.

General admission seats, found on the first and third base lines in the upper deck, as well as third-tier bleacher seats above the reserved section directly behind home plate, are available at $100 for season ticket purchase. Single-game tickets for these seats are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3 for youths.
