2003: Entering her senior season she will once again be looked upon to be the ace of the Gauchos' staff, having led UCSB in strikeouts in each of her first three years...2002: Living up to the expectation, Thornburg had her best season as a Gaucho earning All-Big West Honorable Mention honors as one of the top pitchers in the conference...She led the Big West making 31 starts in 38 appearances, the second most showings in the conference...Thornburg opened the year throwing a no-hitter against New Mexico State (2/1) for her first of a team-high (tie) seven shutouts...She posted her second shutout just two starts later, blanking Loyola Marymount (2/3) off of a season-high 12 strikeouts...Fanned 184 batters to finish third in the Big West and put her third all-time in UCSB history...Collected 13 wins while posting a 2.87 ERA in 217.1 innings of work...Her 28 complete games were the sixth most ever in a single season by a Gaucho...Held the opposition to a .217 batting average, with right-handed hitters only mustering a .198 average...Picked up her fifth career save against Utah State (4/26) to tie Santa Barbara's all-time record...Named Big West Co-Pitcher of the Week (4/29) after posting her save at Utah State in game one then throwing a shutout against the Aggies in game two...Had a 2.30-to-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio...Kept opponents to three or less runs in 23 of her 28 starts...
