Chantal Pershing enters her first season as assistant coach of the UC Santa Barbara softball program, after having played for the Gauchos the past two years.

A First Team All-Big West selection last season at third base, Pershing was also named NFCA All-West Region as a senior after leading the team with a 36 runs. In her two seasons as a Gaucho, Pershing compiled a .291 career batting average, the sixth-best mark in school history.

A native of Burbank, California, she currently resides in Santa Barbara.
