Beck's speed on the base-paths led her to 14 stolen bases, the third highest total in the Big West and the ninth best performance in UCSB history...Spent a majority of her playing time as a designated player, 37 games, but saw some time in the outfield as well...Led the team reaching base 17 times off of a fielder's choice...The Gauchos most productive player off the bench, she drove in three RBI in six at-bats...Paced UCSB hitting .588 with runners on third and less than two outs...Tagged Santa Clara for three hits in a single game (2/10) to begin a seven game hit streak that proved to be Santa Barbara's third longest of the season...Hit .250 with runners on base...Second on the team with ten sacrifices...One of five Gauchos to hit a triple.
Recognized as UCSB's Rookie of the Year by finishing in the top five of seven offensive categories, and the top three in three (SH, OB% and SB)...Showed skill at the plate leading the Gauchos with a .375 on base percentage...Also showed the strength of her jaw by wearing a team high 4 pitches...Her six stolen bases were the third most on the team...Scored 10 runs while hitting .239 with 17 hits in her first year at UCSB...Had three hits in one of the wins over Brown...Took the field in 44 games, the second most by a freshman and fifth most by any player...Tabbed four multi-hit performances, one of which was a game against UCLA where her first shot broke up a no-hitter in sixth which she regards as her most memorable sporting moment.
Prepped at Moorpark High School under Steve Lopez and Cathy Nash...Helped the Musketeers to two Marmonte League titles leading the team in batting average, on-base percentage, stolen bases, and fielding percentage...Four times named all-league, including Ventura County Athlete of the Year her senior year...Also earned her team's awards for most inspirational and best offensive player...Was also an All-Marmonte League soccer and tennis player for Moorpark...Also played basketball, soccer and tennis for the Musketeers.
