2009: Started the first nine games of the season before she was forced to medical redshirt due to a broken leg sustained during a contest with San Diego State (Feb. 14)...Prior to being sidelined, recorded a .391 batting average with eight runs, 10 RBI, one double and four home runs...Went 3-for-4 with three runs, five RBI and two homers in an 8-5 victory over Wichita State (Feb. 6)...Hit a three-run homer in the following game, a 9-2 win over McNeese State (Feb. 8)...Went 2-for-2 with a run, RBI and two walks against Utah State (Feb. 13)...Earned eight walks and posted a .548 on-base percentage.
Played at Newbury Park High School under head coach Darrin Carr...During her senior season she batted .412 with six doubles, three triples, three home runs and 14 RBI...Posted a .500 on-base percentage...Was named the Maramonte League Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2008...Also earned First Team honors from the Ventura County Star, team MVP honors and was named to the San Fernando Valley All-Star team as a senior...As a junior, she was named to the All-Maramonte League First Team and earned her first team MVP award...In 2006, she was awarded first team all-league honors and received Newbury Park's Big Bat award...Freshman year she collected Second Team All-Maramonte League honors...Served as her team's captain during her junior and senior seasons...Also competed in junior varsity basketball and was named Defensive Player of the Year...A four year member of the honor roll and four-time scholar-athlete honoree.
Played shortstop, second base and outfield for the 18U Gold So Cal Diamonds under the tutelage of coaches Bob Zapia and Jack Willard.
