SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Men's soccer head coach Tim Vom Steeg, women's soccer coach Paul Stumpf, men's soccer player Danny Barrera and men's assistant basketball coach Brad Holland will all be featured on Tuesday's Talk'n Gauchos, UCSB Athletics' weekly radio show. The show is broadcast from State and A Bar & Grill and airs live on AM 1490 KIST from 6-7 p.m. on Tuesday evenings.
Fans are encouraged to show up at State and A, on the corner of State Street and Anapamu Street in Santa Barbara, for chances to win new UCSB gear, tickets to Gaucho soccer games and even men's and women's basketball tickets. For more information on Talk'n Gauchos, click here.
Fans can e-mail questions to the weekly guests, which will be read live on air. Click here to send in your questions. In addition, the show will be streamed live and archived online and fans can hear it by clicking here. This new streaming audio is also available for men's soccer radio broadcasts as well as men's and women's basketball and baseball. UCSB is the only school to air men's soccer broadcasts live on commercial radio - on AM 1490 - and through our website. Fans can listen to men's soccer's run to the College Cup as every match will then be broadcast.
Stumpf's UCSB women's team won the Big West Tournament last week for the second straight season. The Gauchos earned the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and will face BYU on Thursday in Palo Alto.
Vom Steeg's men's team, the No. 1 seed in their Big West Tournament, will host a semifinal match on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at Meredith Field at Harder Stadium. UCSB will host Cal State Northridge.
Holland, in his second year on Bob Williams' staff, will see his team start the season this Saturday vs. Cal State Los Angeles in the Thunderdome.
Fans can purchase tickets to UCSB's final regular season home soccer match, as well as men's and women's basketball season tickets, by calling (805) 893-UCSB, visiting the Ticket Office located inside the Intercollegiate Athletics building on campus or clicking here.
Men's and women's basketball season tickets are now available, giving fans an opportunity to catch the Gauchos all season long.
Season tickets are only $125 for men's basketball and $100 for women's basketball (35% lower than last year). Similar to the successful men's soccer family plan, a new Family Plan season ticket is now available for both men's and women's basketball.
