UCSB Athletics Announces 2010 Community Programs for Soccer

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UCSB Athletics has announced its community outreach programs for the 2010 soccer season. Programs include opportunities for local youth to serve as ball kids at Gaucho games, have UCSB soccer stars coach their practice, the chance to play games during halftime at Harder Stadium and much more!

Serve as a Ball Boy/Girl
Youth soccer teams can now sign up to serve as ball boys or girls at UCSB men's and women's soccer games. To register your team, click here.

Have Gauchos Coach Your Practice
As part of the Gauchos Give community outreach initiative, UCSB soccer players will be filling in as guest coaches for local soccer teams. The Gauchos will run a one-hour practice for your team at Storke Field on the UCSB campus. To sign your team up, click here.

Play at Halftime
UCSB will continue its tradition of having youth teams play at halftime of home games this year. To sign your team up to play on the same pitch as some of collegiate soccer's finest, click here.

Gauchos Give Game Nights
Under the Gauchos Give Tickets program, UCSB will be offering family nights for local elementary, middle school and junior high Parent Teacher Associations. On these family nights, students will receive free admission while parents and school faculty get in for just $3. The students have the opportunity to take part in the pre-game introduction tunnel that the players run through onto the field and can also take part in the post-game autograph session. GKids - Gaucho Pride No Matter the Size!
GKids is the official kids club of UCSB Athletics. Members receive a free GKids t-shirt, free admittance to tons of Gaucho games, opportunities to be ball boys and girls at games, a special birthday greeting from Olie (the GKids mascot) and much, much more! Meet the Gauchos
Following every home match, several Gaucho players will be available to sign autographs for fans.

Soccer Town Playground
Before and after every home game, kids can partake in fun and games at the enhanced Soccer Town Playground, which features several fun inflatables for young Gaucho fans to enjoy.

Season tickets for the 2010 soccer season are now available and start at just $75, which includes one ticket to all home men's and women's regular season games and one College Cup All-Session ticket. UCSB staff and faculty can purchase their season tickets for a reduced rate of $50.
