UC SANTA BARBARA 2007: As a junior, Michelle Russell appeared in 17 of 20 matches, 15 of which she started....Russell was second on the team with 10 points and four goals...UCSB was 3-1 when Russell scored...Three of her four goals came in Big West play as she scored one apiece against Cal State Fullerton, UC Riverside, and Long Beach State...Her 20 shots ranked fourth on the team, but her 13 on goal ranked third. 2006: Russell played in 18 of 20 matches during her sophomore season, making one start...She made her only start and scored her only goal of the season in a 3-1 win over Tulsa...Russell also assisted on a goal in a 4-0 win over UC Irvine. 2005: As a freshman, Russell played in seven games, five of which she started, for the Gauchos...An ankle injury ended her season in the seventh game...In UCSB's 2-1 win over Fresno State, Russell scored her first career goal, which ended up being the game-winner for Santa Barbara...Russell scored her second goal of the season - another game-winner - against Villanova in the Maryland/Adidas Classic...Russell's ten shots tied her for the sixth highest total on the team.
