Murphy played at Rosary High School...She was a three-time First Team All-Serra League selection...As a junior and senior, she was Team Captain, and following each of her final two seasons she was chosen Rosary's Most Valuable Player...As a sophomore, Murphy was her team's Defensive MVP...She was a Second Team All-Serra League selection as a freshman...Coached by John Alexander...At the club level, Murphy played for the SoCal Blues in the Premier League...Helped lead the Blues to the 2005 Surf Cup championship and the finals of the 2004 Surf Cup...The Blues were also a State Cup finalist in 2005 and were North/South Champions in 2004...Coached by Randy Dodge.
