Groth played for F.C. Portland Academy (red) where she was coached by Clive Charles...Played center and outside fullback at the club level...She was the Regional's Team MVP...Helped lead her club to the 2001 state championships...Prepped at Grover Cleveland High School in Portland...Coached by Brian Taylor in high school...She was a first team All-Portland Interscholastic League as a sophomore and on three occasions, Groth was a second team all-conference honoree...Named team MVP as a senior...Helped lead her team to a Portland Interscholastic League championship in 1999...In addition to her fullback spots, Groth played center midfield in high school.

Born March 15, 1984 in Portland, OR...Is a Pre-Biology major and hopes to become either a marine biologist or an orthodontist...Groth competed in track and field as a freshman and as a sophomore in high school...She was National Honor Society President and a winner of a National Honor Society Scholarship...She was also a Multnomah Athletic Club Scholar Athlete and she was on the Principal's Honor Roll for all eight semesters in high school...The daughter of David and Cheryl Groth.
