Borcich had the best offensive season by any Gaucho in recent years...She was selected the Big West Conference's Offensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year...Also named First Team All-Big West as a forward...Borcich led the Big West Conference in goals with 11, assists with seven and points with 29...Recorded UCSB's first hat trick in 12 years when she notched three goals in a 3-1 win over Weber State...Her three-goal performance came in the sixth match of the year and those were her first three goals of the season...Scored all 11 goals in her final 12 matches of the season...In the Gauchos' penultimate match last season, against Cal State Fullerton, she broke her left forearm in the first half and missed the remainder of that match and the finale against Cal Poly...In addition to her performance against Weber State, Borcich had two-goal matches against Long Beach State and UC Riverside...Also scored goals against Fresno State, Pacific, Idaho and UC Irvine...Her 11 goals on the season were the most scored by a Gaucho player in 12 years...Borcich's 11 goals came on just 43 official shots...She produced four game-winning goals...Never had more than one assist in a match...Overall, Borcich scored at least one point in 11 of her 18 matches, including nine of her last 12...In addition to her postseason honors, she was also selected Big West Player of the Week on October 29 after scoring three goals and assisting on two others in Big West road victories at Long Beach State and UC Irvine.

Borcich played for Sacramento United Magic for seven years...Scored 53 goals and 20 assists over her last two season...Led the Magic to the 2000 Huntington Beach Tournament championship...She was a Northern California State Team member in 2000...Led her team to the championship of the Nike Friendship Tournament in Oregon in 2000...Borcich prepped at McClatchy High School in Sacramento...She was a four-time All-Metro League selection, earning first team honors three times...Also named All-City on three occasions, including two first team selections...Following her senior season, she was slected the Metro League Offensive Player of the Year...Helped guide McClatchy to a Metro League title as a junior...Borcich finished her career as McClatchy's second all-time leading scorer...Coached by Ted Spitaleri.
