SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara Women's Soccer program has signed central midfielder Dylan Lewis to a National Letter of Intent for the 2019 season, Head Coach Paul Stumpf announced.
Lewis arrives at UCSB from Los Angeles, Calif., having played her club soccer for Beach Developmental Academy under coach Anton Arrache.
She has also played in several national all-star games, participated in US Soccer training camps, and been a part of the US Olympic Development Program (ODP) team.
"Dylan is a very versatile midfielder and forward. Her club team, Beach FC, has a possession-oriented style they strive for, and that fits into how we are trying to play. She has caught the eye of the national program, and has been invited into several camps," Stumpf said on Lewis.
The versatile 5' 3" Lewis also played for Culver City High School (CCHS) in the Ocean League, where she played outside back in addition to midfield and forward. She earned individual accolades with All-League honors, and with her help, CCHS won an Ocean League Championship.
She also was a member of her high school track and field team.
In the classroom, Lewis has been recognized as an honor roll student, while also earning a student-athlete award.
