STOCKTON, Calif. - A trio of UC Santa Barbara players scored their first goals of the year as the Gauchos continued their outstanding start to the season with a 3-2 win at the University of the Pacific on Thursday.

UCSB (9-1-0) got on the board first at the 16:16 mark when Dakota Griggs took a feed from Madeline Gibson and pounded a shot past Melissa Ma and into the back post, giving the Gauchos a 1-0 advantage.

The Tigers tied the score at 1-1 when Eliza Hard received a feed from Ebony Ezeji and snuck a shot past Gaucho goalkeeper Jacq Caginia.

The Gauchos shattered the tie late in the second half. Mallory Hromatko collected a pass from Kailey Hackett, gathered herself and then fired a shot past Ma to give her team a 2-1 advantage.

UCSB went up 3-1 early in the second half.

In the 55th minute, Savannah Francis received a pass from freshman Shaelan Murison, dribbled through traffic and scored into the left side of the goal.

The Tigers narrowed the advantage to one goal in the 83rd minute when Samia Adam crushed a shot from 25-yards out. The blast got past Caginia and made the final score 3-2.
