campaign with a solid 2-0 shutout win in an exhibition game against

The Gauchos took a 1-0 lead less than five minutes into the match when sophomore Dakota Griggs settled a deflected corner kick from senior Geneve Dromensk and pounded a left-footed one-timer into the Warriors' goal.
In the second half, sophomore McKinsey Martinez scored a goal to give UCSB its 2-0 win.
The Gauchos will open the regular season on Friday, Aug. 22 when they host Cleveland State in a 7:00 p.m. match at Harder Stadium. They will also host Southern Utah on Sunday, Aug. 24 in a noon match.
