As a freshman, played in 18 games for the Bears, averaging 3.8 minutes per game...scored the first basket of her Cal career in the third game of the Paradise Jam tournament, 11/29/08 vs. Iowa...got her first career rebound in the Virgin Islands, pulling in a defensive rebound against South Florida Nov. 27...scored a career-high four points against Saint Mary's....also had a career-high three rebounds in the Saint Mary's game...played a combined nine minutes in the Oregon/ Oregon State home contests....played a career-high 12 minutes in the Pac-10 Tournament opener against Washington...saw action in all three of the Bears' 2009 NCAA Tournament games...recorded a career-high four rebounds in the NCAA opening round game against Fresno State.

High School
Averaged 20.9 ppg, 10.2 rpg and 4.1 apg during the 2007-08 regular season for White Plains High School in White Plains, N.Y....led her school to its fourth straight Section 1-AA title and was named The Journal News' Westchester/Putnam Player of the Year as a senior...also helped her school to three league crowns...after scoring 33 points in the sectional title game, was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2008 Girls Section 1-AA Tournament...2007-08 Section 1-AA Player of the Year...fifth member of the 2005 and 2006 state finalists to commit to a Division I program...garnered four all-state, all-league and all-section honors in high school...named the 2007-08 Con Edison White Plains High School Most Talented Female Athlete of the Year...garnered the Principal's Academic Award and was a four-year member of the honor roll.

Angelei Aguirre was born Sept. 25, 1989, in Dallas, Texas...parents are Mark and Angela Aguirre...her father played basketball at DePaul and then competed for the Dallas Mavericks (1981-89), Detroit Pistons (1989-93, won NBA titles in 1989 and 1990) and Los Angeles Clippers (1993-94)...Mark served as an assistant coach for the New York Knicks in 2007-08...after attending high school in White Plains, N.Y., her family returned to Dallas, Texas...has three younger siblings, Maschera, Alana and Michaela...Angelei was an assistant coach for Alana's, a sixth-grader, AAU basketball team...participated in a teen leadership conference...enjoys volunteering with various church and non-profit organizations and shopping...career goal is to own a non-profit organization that helps people with HIV/AIDS in Africa...undeclared major.
