SANTA BARBARA, Calif.– The UC Santa Barbara women's basketball team will be hosting three straight games in December and fans will have more to expect from the contests besides exciting Gaucho basketball.
When Utah State visits Santa Barbara on Dec. 19, UCSB Basketball ornaments will be given to the first 300 fans through the door.
In honor of Youth Day, all children under the age of 14 have free admission on Dec. 21 when the Gauchos face Nevada.
Finally, the Gauchos will honor Military Appreciation Day when they take on Seattle on Dec. 28. Members of the military and veterans can attend the game for free when they bring their military ID. If members of your organization plan on attending, please RSVP to Richard Wright at firstname.lastname@example.org so that we may recognize you by name at halftime.
The free admission offers are made possible by the efforts of the Gauchos Give Program. The focus of the inititive is to allow UCSB coaches, student-athletes, and staff members opportunities to give back to the community. Teams have made the most of the program by hosting free clinics and helping families during the holidays, among many other examples.
Tickets for those and all Gaucho games are available at the UCSB Ticket Office, on the phone at 805-893-UCSB (8272), or online here.
