Gauchos Welcome Bren School on Thursday Night

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Thursday evening will serve as Bren School Night at the Thunderdome as UCSB Athletics is pleased to welcome and celebrate the students, faculty and staff from the campus' school of environmental science and management to the women's basketball game against Pacific at 7 p.m.

The Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at UCSB has earned a reputation as one of the top schools of its kind in the nation. It is among a handful of schools in the United States – and the only one in the West – that integrate science, management, law, economics, and policy as part of an interdisciplinary approach to environmental problem-solving.

Current Gaucho forward Kirsten Tilleman is currently working on her master's degree in Environmental Science and Management at Bren. To learn more about Tilleman and her work at Bren School, click here.

Bren School Night is just one of several special events Gaucho basketball will be hosting this season.

On Feb. 9, UCSB will honor its latest Legend of the Dome. Lucius Davis, one of UCSB men's basketball's all-time greats and former Big West Player of the Year, will be the next Legend to adorn the Thunderdome walls. Current men's basketball Legends include Brian Shaw, Eric McArthur, Carrick DeHart and Jerry Pimm.

Thursday's game will be broadcast online at UCSBgauchos.com and streamed live online at BigWest.tv.

Tickets to all women's basketball games are available by visiting the Athletics Tickets Office in the Intercollegiate Athletics Building on campus, by calling (805) 893-UCSB or by clicking here.

Through the Gauchos Give program, groups, nonprofits and other charitable organizations are eligible to receive free tickets. Call the Ticket Office for more information.
