As a sophomore, Kirsten started all 31 games for the Beavers averaging 34.4 minutes per game, 8.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game ... Scored in double figures in 12 games ... Posted four double doubles ... Shot 46.2 percent from the floor ... On November 13, 2009 vs. Cal Poly, she scored 19 points pulled down eight rebounds, had three blocks and two steals ... Eight days later on November 22 vs. Houston Baptist, Kirsten had 26 points, 13 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal ... In her freshman season, Kirsten played in all 32 games while starting 18 for the Beavers ... She averaged 3.8 ppg and 4.1 rpg ... She also received the OSU College of Forestry's Paul and Neva Dunn Outstanding Senior Award, and was also given the OSU College of Forestry's Natural Resources Outstanding Student Award.
Kirsten played at Bozeman High School under Brooke Svendsen ... She earned 12 varsity letters in basketball (4), soccer (4) and track (4), while playing for the Hawks ... As a senior, Kirsten was All-State in all three sports and received the Bozeman High School Athlete and Scholar Athlete of the Year awards ... She was a National Honor Society Member, graduating with a 4.0 GPA and was one of the school's valedictorians ... In her junior campaign, Kirsten was All-State in all three sports, was named the 2006- 2007 Gatorade Player of the Year in basketball and was the 2006 Gatorade Player of the Year in soccer ... She also won a State Championship in all three sports that year and was named the Montana Most Valuable Player.
