Gauchos Win 2000 Opener at Glen Annie Golf Course

The 2000 men's cross country team scored 24 points to finish first in the opening triangular meet. Cal Poly finished second with 35 points followed by Westmont with 80 points. The meet was run at the Glen Annie Golf Course, the home of the 2000 Big West Conference Cross Country Championships.

UCSB's Josh Horton, a 1999 All-Big West performer, won the meet in a time of 26:46.1. Cal Poly's Adam Boothe finished second with a 26:56.2 and UCSB's Brandon von Guenthner placed third in a time of 27:01.3.
