Anthony Masci returns for his third season at UCSB after redshirting the 2009 campaign...As a sophomore in 2008, he set personal bests in the 8,000 meters at 25:36.0 (NCAA Division I Pre-Nationals) and the 10,000 meters at 33;21.40 (NCAA West Region Championships)...His highest finish was a 44th-place at the Stanford Invitational when he clocked a 25:47on the 8,000 meter course...Finished 45th at the Big West Championship in 26:19.0...As a freshman, Masci's only activity was at the Stanford Invitational where he placed 112th in the 8,000 meter race at 25:56.

High School
Masci placed 14th in the Division I State Meet at Woodward Park, Fresno...Finished the 2006 State Meet with a time of 15:36...Finished 17th at the 2006 CIF Finals at Mt. SAC (15:37)...Was named to the All-State 2nd Team in 2006...On the OC Register's All-County Team every year from 2004-2006...His high school team competed in the Nike Team Nationals...Three-year letterwinner in Cross Country and Track.

Born on June 18, 1989 in Boston, Mass...Has lived in Lake Forest since 1997...Was on Honor Roll all four years in high school.
