2006 Track & Field: Red-shirting his fourth year as a Gaucho, Emmen off of a strong base in the fall, lit up the track in the spring. Beginning with the Stanford Invite, he set a small 1500m best with a 3:52 showing only to follow that with a 1:51.55 in the 800m. Taking that strength with him to the Mt. Sac Invitational, he would drop his best by almost a second to 1:47.90 finishing 6th in the prestigious Invite section. Racing consistently he would win the Cardinal Invitational two weeks later in 1:48.44. Then another two weeks later he would win the Occidental Invite by almost two seconds in 1:46.89, the fourth fastest mark in the country at the time. He would go onto reach the semi-finals at the USATF Championships and ended his '06 season ranked 11th in the United States and the top 100 in the world.

2005 Cross Country: One of the best middle distance runners in the country he laid his foundation for the 2006 season during the fall cross country season. Really getting after it for the first time in his career, he met the new 8k challenge with a rough start finding himself near the back of the race at the home opener. Improving throughout the season he ran a tough race at the hilly Cal Poly SLO course finishing in 40th with a time of 28:29.1 and then took the knowledge from SLO into his final race at the Titan Invite. In Fullerton, CA he would set an 8k best of 26:12 to finish 34th.

2005 Track & Field: Emmen became an All-American at 800m in his Junior year after finishing 12th at the NCAA Championships in Sacramento, CA. Nabbed an at-large berth out of the West Region to qualify for Nationals by taking sixth in a hotly contested Regional final. Was Big West Runner-up to teammate Ben Armel at 800m and also anchored the Conference Championship 4x400m team earning their spot at the West Regional Championships with a time of 3:11.93. Also, in 2005 Emmen was the winner of the prestigious Mt. Sac 800m Olympic Development heat over a tough field in a personal best time.

2004 Track & Field: Tetlo won the NCAA West Region Championship at 800m and went on to finish 15th at the NCAA National Championship setting a personal best 1:48.75...3rd fastest 800m runner in UCSB history...runner-up at the Big West Championship 800m...ran personal best 48.30 for 400m at OXY Inv. and ran second leg on fastest Gaucho 4x400m relay team since 1987.

2003 Track & Field: Tetlo earned All-Conference honors in the 800m as a freshman, finishing third at Big West by just .01 of a second...anchored the 4x400 relay to second place at the conference meet with a 47.8. Emmen also recorded personal bests for 400m (48.48) and 1500m (3:57.52). Finished 5th at the USATF Junior Championships.

High School: Finished sixth at the 2002 California High School State Meet in the 800m. Personal Bests of 49.90 in the 400m, and 1:52.84
