Was 49th at the Big West Championships with an 8k time of 26:30...Finished 137th at the Stanford Invitational with a time of 27:12...Opened the season with a 25:48 at the Lagoon Open, which was good for 15th place.

2005
A middle distance specialist, Campbell built up his miles for greater 800m strength as he got used to the 8k distance as a freshman.

High School
A standout California 800m runner...Campbell had the second fastest 800m mark in the San Joaquin Valley and twelfth fastest prep 800m mark in the state of California running for Oak Ridge HS in his senior season...He was a State Meet qualifier, Sac-Joaquin Section Div. II 800m champ and, earlier in the year, the Sacramento Meet of Champions 800m winner.
