SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Sophomore goalkeeper Fraser Bunn earned Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Mikasa Co-Player of the Week honors it was announced Monday by the conference. The Melbourne, Australia native posted 10 saves in No. 7 UC Santa Barbara's 5-4 upset win over No. 2 Stanford on Sunday at Campus Pool.
Included in Bunn's 10 saves was a blocked five-meter penalty shot in the second quarter and three blocked six-on-five shots. In fact, Bunn helped the Gaucho defense limit Stanford to just one six-on-five goal during its 10 power play opportunities.
Bunn recorded three saves in the fourth quarter, holding the Stanford offense scoreless in the final eight minutes of play. For the day, he allowed just four goals, the second fewest allowed this season by the Gauchos.

He shares the weekly conference honor with Pepperdine's J.P. MacDonell who scored five goals in a 12-9 MPSF win over UC Irvine on Sunday.
The Gauchos will continue MPSF action at home this weekend when they host UCLA on Saturday, Nov. 15 and Pepperdine on Sunday, Nov. 16 at Campus Pool. Both games are scheduled for a noon start and, as always, admission is free to Gaucho water polo games.
