2009: Played 1.25 games in goal for the
Gauchos...Tallied 12 saves on the year and averaged 9.6 saves per
game...Posted an 8.0 goals against average...Had a season-best
eight saves against Fresno Pacific (Nov. 7). 2008:
Played in one of the Gauchos' contests in his first year on the
active roster...Tallied three saves and allowed one goal against
Iona College (Oct. 7). 2007: Redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played at Dos Pueblos High School under head coach Chris
Parrish...Helped the Chargers to back-to-back CIF Division IV
titles in 2005 and 2006 marking the first championship titles for
Dos Pueblos in over 20 years for Dos Pueblos...Winning CIF is his
most memorable athletic achievement...Was twice picked as his
team's MVP and Best Defensive Player...Named First Team All-CIF in
2006 and Second Team All-CIF in 2005...Was an all-league and
all-conference selection...Selected as MVP of the County All-Stars
in 2006...Also competed in volleyball and swimming...Was a member
of the National Honor Society and Blue Ribbon Award winner.

Played with Santa Barbara Water Polo Club, which he helped to the
2006 National Junior Olympics Championship...Also played for Blaze

Russell Russo LeVasseur was born on Sept. 3, 1987 in Ventura,
Calif....Parents are Phil LeVasseur and Irene Russo...Nicknamed
"Sim Card"...Is majoring in environmental studies at UCSB and
aspires to one day work with animals and their environments...Is
involved in Campus Crusade at UCSB...Also enjoys playing
volleyball, ultimate frisbee, hiking, backpacking, running,
camping, EAB, environmental activism, cooking, massage therapy,
yoga, meditation and filming...Rage Against the Machine is his
favorite musical group...Names "There Will Be Blood" as his
favorite movie and enjoys the "The Lord of the Rings"
series...Steve Carell is his personal hero...Says camping and
hiking in Yosemite was his most memorable athletic
