Run for a Championship
No. 6 UC Santa Barbara (16-9, 3-5) concluded the regular season as the sixth seed in the MPSF, clinching a berth in this seasons MPSF Championship. UCSB will travel to Stockton, Calif. as the No. 1 Pacific Tigers (20-3, 7-1) will host this year's end of the season tournament.

The Gauchos will open up its tournament action against No. 3 UCLA (27-2, 7-1) the day after Thanksgiving at 1:30 p.m. If the Gauchos defeat the Bruins, the team will face the winner between the No. 2 Stanford (19-4, 7-1) and No. 7 Long Beach State (19-12, 1-7) match. If UCSB drops its match against UCLA, the team will then face the loser of the same match.

Season Leaders
Senior and team captain, Matt Gronow, will look to lead the team to a championship run with his offensive success this season. Leading the team with 56 goals, Gronow has been the focal point and leader of the team. Along with his 56 goals, Gronow places second in assists with an impressive total of 34. Junior, Eric Van de Mortel, is also having a great season; recording a total of 45 goals and 37 assists.

In the cage, sophomore goalkeeper, Chris Whitelegge continues to display a high level of play, tallying a grand total of 271 saves. Leading the MPSF in saves, Whitelegge has a solid stat of 14.1 saves per game.

NCAA Tournament Bid
Santa Barbara will lock its bid into this year's NCAA Tournament if it wins it all at the MPSF Championships.
