SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UCSB's Dylan Davis, who will be a senior in 2013, started and played a key role for the U.S. Men's National Team as it won the gold medal at the Pan American Volleyball Cup in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, last week.

Another Gaucho, incoming freshman setter Andrew Kocur, performed well at a World Championship Beach Tournament, also last week.

Davis started on a team that defeated Brazil and Argentina en route to a perfect 6-0 record and its fifth title.  In the championship match against Argentina, he tied for the team-lead in blocks and in the semifinal, against the host Dominican Republic, Davis had six points.

Kocur, a native of Toronto, competed at the FIVB Youth World Championship Beach Tournament in Cypress, finishing seventh.
