2006
Continuing his improvement over the months, Totari finished his freshman year with a great season and a few points at the Big
West Championships to go along with it...At
the USC Trojan Invite he finished fourth in the 3000m with a 8:43.81, only to improve that
time to 8:39.30 at the Big West Challenge Cup a
few weeks later...At the Cal Poly SLO - UCSB
Dual Meet he would grab a 5k personal best
with a 14:56.19 clocking...Getting entered in
the 10,000m at the Big West Championships,
Totari would execute his plan perfectly. By
steadily moving up through the field he would
come across the line in sixth place with a 10k
lifetime best of 31:20.52.
High School
Totari posted good career bests in his senior
year, racing the 3200m at the prestigious
Arcadia Invitational in 9:23.40. But one of his
most impressive statistics came in the 5000m
at the Mt. Sac Invitational where he ran a smart
14:58.60, already a Big West qualifying mark
for that event...In Cross Country he finished
27th overall at the State Championships his
senior year.
