Consistent top-7 member of key in securing the men's Big West Conference title as the team's fifth finisher, taking 11th overall.
Earned All-Conference honors by placing third in the 10,000m race at the Big West Championships...Doubled back for an impressive race in the 5,000m race the next day, running a lifetime best of 14:48.71, good for seventh place...Also ran a personal best of 30:15.21 in the 10K, the school's eighth fastest mark.
2000 Cross Country
Finished as the team's third man at the NCAA Regional Championships with a 32:07 10K time and a 43rd place finish...Finished 24th at the 2000 Big West Championships as the team's fifth man.
High School Won the 1997 California State Div. V Cross Country Championship with a 15:59 at Woodward Park...Also ran 9:12.06 for 3200m to qualify for the state meet out of Southern Section, finishing ninth at the state meet, running 9:20.78.
Has a strong history of running within his family...His mother, Debra Sharp, qualified for the 1988 U.S. Olympic trials in the marathon...She also coached Aaron in high school...Aaron's father Gene Sharp was his coach at Oxnard JC.
