Won the javelin throw with a mark of 189'4" at the Ben Brown
Invitational...Placed first in the Big West Challenge Cup with a
seasonal best toss of 194'6"...Threw 193'11" in the javelin and
placing 31st at the NCAA Preliminaries.
2009
Guerra placed seventh in the javelin at the Big West Championships
with a throw of 180'7" (55.05m)...Took second in the javelin at the
Big West Challenge Cup with a seasonal best of 191'11"
(58.51m)...Was fifth at the USC Invitational with a mark of 191'9"
(58.46m), and won the All-Cal Challenge at 162'2" (49.42m).
2008
Had his best javelin throw of the season at the Cal Nevada meet,
where he took first place at 199'6" (60.82m)...Also won the Azusa
Pacific Invitational with a mark of 185'3" (56.46m)...Was ninth at
the Big West Conference Championships, where he threw 163'10"
(49.95m)...At the All-Cal Challenge, his first collegiate meet, he
tooksecond place at 180'7" (55.05m)...Won the javelin at the Cal
Poly dual meet at 180'2" (54.92m).
High School
Guerra played baseball and football in high school, but was not on the track team...Was All-League in football and looks to use his strength and conditioning to excel at the javelin throw...Was team captain of the football and baseball team his senior year, and was All-Modesto League in football his senior year.

Majoring in physiology with a minor in exercise science and
health...Walked-on to the squad in 2008.
