Competed in seven meets for his first season as a Gaucho. Set a season's best in the shot put at the Jim Bush Invitational with a throw of 13.71m (44' 11 3/4"). Also set a season's best in the hammer throw at the UCSD Triton Invitational with a mark of 43.19m (141' 8").
Graduate of Dana Hills High School. Was a 3-time Field MVP for his school as well as a South Coast League Champion in the shot put as a junior. He would go on to qualify for the CIF Southern Section Division 1 Finals as a senior in the shot put. Coached by Scott Kelly and Dave Brown. 
Parents are Ken Rager and Janice Kennedy...Majoring in Geophysics...Career goal is to become a volcanologist...Athletic goal is to throw over 60m in the hammer throw...Hobbies include playing guitar and listening to music on vinyl...Fun fact: has a certification in mine safety from The United Nations Mine Action Service.
