Competed in nine meets for his junior year in the Gaucho blue. Started things off with a personal best at the Gaucho Round Up, clocking 21.72 seconds for the win at 200m. That performance would be a mere foreshadowing of things to come, as Sike would go on to clock a school record at 100m at the very next meet, the All-UC Challenge, blasting a 10.55, breaking the previous record of 10.56 that stood for almost 30 years. Sike would also chip his 200m best down slowly throughout the season, getting it down to 21.31 for 3rd place in a strong field at the Big West Challenge Cup. Took a pair of wins at the Cal Poly Dual in the 100m and the 4 x 100m relay, running a wind-aided 10.53 and helping out the 4 x 100m squad to a 41.04 clocking, just 0.1 seconds off the school record. Finished the season with a pair of 7th place finishes in the 100m and the 200m and a 6th place finish in the 4 x 100m at the Big West Conference Championships. In total, Sike ran every single 100m race this year faster than his season's best from last year in uniform.
Competed in four meets for the Gauchos in his sophomore season. Recorded a season best of 10.89 at the Oxy Invitational. Competed in his first Big West Championship and finished 18th in the prelim.
